Osgoode recently celebrated the well-deserved promotions of five exceptional professors. Dean Farrow proudly presented the recommendations, made by President and Vice-Chancellor Rhonda Lenton, to York University’s Board of Governors. Professors Carys Craig, Valerio De Stefano, Dayna Scott, and Sara Slinn have all attained the prestigious title of Full Professor. At the same time, Professor Emily Kidd White has also attained the prestigious Associate Professor.

Professor Carys Craig has made significant contributions to the field of copyright, intellectual property, and trademark law, both nationally and internationally. As a faculty member, Professor Craig plays a vital role in teaching the interconnection between legal theory and practical application of the law, offering graduate and professional courses in intellectual property, copyright and trademark law, and legal theory. Additionally, Professor Valerio De Stefano, a global leader, is the inaugural Canada Research Chair in Innovation, Law, and Society. Professor De Stefano has made transformative and inspiring contributions to the labour and employment law field on both national and international stages. His expertise spans a wide range of matters related to labour and employment, particularly in digital platform labour and the gig economy. His groundbreaking work is not only reshaping the future of work but also inspiring change on a global scale, making him a key figure at Osgoode Hall Law School.

Likewise, Professor Sara Slinn, a renowned international expert, has also been promoted to Full Professor. Professor Slinn brings a breadth of knowledge to the area of labour and employment law, specifically sectoral bargaining.
